The hotel is very beautiful, like an oasis in the heart of the desert. Gorgeous oriental design in the reception, public areas and rooms and it looks so nice specially at the night when the lights on. Breakfast at Zala Restaurant was delicious, as was the room service food. I'd not recommend Ninive restaurant, the food is average and much less than expected and the service is bad. The asian restaurant serves good food but bad service as well. I must say i didn't try Alhadeera restaurant although I heard positive reviews about it.
Watching the sunset in the desert its something you will enjoy and the walks in the spacious hotel area as well. The swimming pools are not suitable for "real" swimming due to the big amount of different stairs in them, so people enjoying laying on sunbeds around more than swimming. Variety of activities for kids and adults. The hotel get crowded in the weekend, and it's much quiter on weekdays. Professional and responsive employees on the reception and customer care.

The experience of dealing with this hotel has been an absolute nightmare. 5 consecutive days I’ve tried calling and speaking to someone who can assist me and no one has been willing to do the bare minimum. I was trying to book a room with my husband and have a prenup shoot with one photographer for my wedding, I’ve been trying to find out the policy to which no one could answer, they kept giving me numbers that don’t work or saying they’ll call back to which they never did. Finally once their marketing team has reached out via email for “10” minutes and then disappeared, they’ve told me it is allowed however they need me to book a separate room for the photographer ???? For what exactly?? I’ve explained that the photographer would be with us in the room for few hours to take photos and leave and they insisted on a second booking which is absolutely ridiculous. If you’re trying to overcharge people and make more money then find a better way instead of ruining someone’s special day. I do not understand in which “hotel” policy do you have this listed. I’ve called multiple hotels and they were more than happy to accommodate and not ONE has requested for a second room booking.

I expect this to be rectified by your higher management, it’s my 5th day of trying to contact your hotel to speak to someone in charge and your staff keeps avoiding and dodging the conversation with a response of “sorry they’re not available, we’ll request for a callback”. This is not a joke, nor the request I’ve asked is difficult. Please give me a call back.

Maybe staying at the hotel is nice but for events be careful. I had the worst experience with their events department. I emailed to say I was interesting in hosting a yoga & relaxion day event, and the coordinator emailed me with a proposal, pictures and confirmed they had availability. I said this looks great, can I come see it on X date & time for a tour of the space, she said sure. I then proceeded to drive 1 hour to Bab Al Shams only to get there and I had to wait 15mins for her past our appointment time. When she finally arrived she started showing me different bedrooms and by the time we got to the 2nd room I asked her to see the event & yoga space as it's a day event and we don't need rooms & she was like “oh!” She had no clue!
She finally takes me to the space for outdoor yoga and she tells me the price is 200aed per person, I told her “hold on, you never mentioned any additional charge in your proposal and I was clear we needed to do outdoor space which is why you even sent me pictures of the green” she said “sorry that must’ve been an error” at this point I'm getting frustrated because my email was very clear and now essentially the quote is 200aed more per person. When I complained about this she asked me "how much did I quote you again" she had no clue what she had written in her proposal! I then got fed up and said can I at least see the meeting room space and that's when she took me there and turns out there was an event taking place so the room was busy! It was just luck that the current event was on a break so we could sneak in the room but I told her "I've been having to book events for years. I have never liaised with a coordinator that would AGREE to an appointment with me and be unable to do a basic check to see if the date and time I was asking to come, whether the room would even be free. At the bare minimum you could've at least re read your proposal you issued to me when I arrived but the fact I'm stood in front of you and you have no clue about the prices, space availability or date of my event and you KNEW I was coming is not right". Overall I wasted 2 hours on the road to see bab al shams and now their quote with the additional yoga fee was over my budget, so I never should've wasted time and petrol travelling their in the first place. I emailed her my feedback afterwards and didn't even get an apology or any acknowledgment. So terrible

Great experience staying in this hotel in the desert of Dubai, the architecture and decoration makes you feel special. Great service and culinary offer. Our dinner at Ninive was delicious and the breakfast buffets is one of the best I ever had. Room with a terrace very comfortable and with a nice view to the dessert. I highly recommend one or two nights in this hotel

One of the most beautiful hotels in the world. The entire experience was out of this world. From the hospitality to every part of the hotel was so beautiful. Only wish we stayed longer. The evening buffet was also an interesting experience, wasnt expecting a proper show. Highly recommend.

No welcoming apon arrival, staff not knowledgeable about restaurant closing times. No maps available, Staff look like they are depressed and stressed. Management needs alot of work to consider this hotel as luxury

Lovely experience. I love the rooftop area and Mr. Yashash was an exceptional host. Stayed at the rooftop cafe with a beautiful desert view.

Incredible resort, one of a kind experience and kid friendly. gorgeous rooms, great service, unique f&b and quality shisha on site. Tan tawi took good care of us at Anwa the rooftop bar!
