Si usted ha tenido la oportunidad de alojarse en este hotel, ya no debe reconocer nada al respecto. Cerrado desde hace más de un año, reabrió sus puertas el 1 de mayo de 2017 con una decoración totalmente renovada. El hotel más prestigioso de Malta todavía se encuentra en un edificio colonial rodeado de amplios jardines y con vistas a dos puertos. Y su renovación ha conservado la arquitectura, el encanto y el ambiente de mediados del siglo XX que le habían valido la estancia de todas las estrellas internacionales que visitaban la isla, incluida la Reina de Inglaterra. Casi al lado de las murallas del casco antiguo, este hotel de cinco estrellas ofrece habitaciones bastante pequeñas pero magníficamente equipadas y todas con magníficas vistas. Si usted aprecia los servicios de muy alta calidad, sin duda apreciará la belleza de sus jardines y la magnífica piscina desbordante con sus impresionantes vistas al puerto. Otro plus, si es necesario, es su restaurante gourmet, el Phoenix, con su refinada decoración y estudiada cocina.

I shed a tear when we had to leave Saturday morning. My world for 6 days was the Phoenicia and room 229 and I didn’t want to leave.
This place has something magic about it - and really made our trip to Valetta a once in a lifetime experience. It really does give a feel of a home away from home - albeit a 5 star version with friendly faces to help you with everything and anything at every turn! Premium but never snobby or stiff in atmosphere, comfortable luxury - like slipping on silk pyjamas.
The location is perfect for exploring Valetta at the drop of a hat then retreating to an oasis as needed. We loved walking out the city gate every evening across the fountain to the beautiful grand entrance as our post dinner journey home - idyllic.
The rooms are so lovely - a balcony, ridiculously comfy bed, exquisite Aqua Di Parma toiletries, make up table, TV, en suite bathroom, robes and slippers etc. Nothing not accommodated for!
The people, food and facilities really are exemplary. I can’t rave enough about everyone we spoke to from reception, to the porter and concierge to the restaurant servers and pool staff - you are all gems and made us feel so special and looked after. The breakfast was a spread of dreams with everything you can imagine and then more - honeycomb dripping fresh honey into a bowl, the freshly squeezed orange juice and gluten free croissants on request (that actually had layers and was flaky and hot) were highlights but barely scratch the surface of the feast on offer. The Bastion pool is just gorgeous, what a place to set up for the day; and the indoor pool/gym/spa (with salt room) kept us coming back - about three times during our stay! I also had a massage which was incredible, and the masseuse was so kind and unsolicited helped with some skincare as well as taking all my back pain away.
Our first time in Valetta and The Phoenicia - but we are determined not our last.
