I recently had the pleasure of staying at a unique pirate-themed hostel managed by the ever-so-welcoming Jenny, and it was nothing short of a fantastic adventure! From the moment I stepped in, I was transported into a world of high seas and treasure hunts, complete with maritime decor and an incredibly friendly atmosphere.

Jenny, the proprietor, makes everyone feel like part of the crew. She’s not only warm and inviting but also full of tips and stories that add to the authentic pirate ambiance. You can tell she pours her heart into the hostel, making it a special place for travelers from all walks of life.

The highlight of the mornings was undoubtedly the complimentary pancake breakfast.

If you’re looking for a place with character, comfort, and a fantastic host, then the pirates Haus hostel is the treasure you seek.

I woke up bored one day and decided a surprise pirate trip to St. Augustine was exactly what my boys needed. I searched on Airbnb for a cheap B&B in St. Augustine & landed on the pirate haus inn. I Google searched and found the hotel website listed even cheaper rates. I called the hotel, spoke with Jenny and she was so genuine and humble I just had to book it. I added two pirate costumes to my Amazon cart and packed our bags! Jenny was so accommodating! I needed a playpen for the baby and it was in the room on arrival. Pancakes were delicious. Location location location! This little gem is right in the heart of historic St. Augustine. My son is already begging to go back. We will be back! Thank you so very much, Jenny! I will forever treasure the family memories!!!!! ????‍☠️☠️????

Really happy with our 2 night stay, the location is the best, the price is awesome and my 2 little boys had a blast! They loved the living room with TV and giant connect 4! Oh if you go make sure to park to the right of the street in-between light post on the opposite site of the hotel, while you check in. She will text instructions. I hope this place sticks around a while. Everyone was so friendly!

Pancakes were a fun way to start the morning, decorations kept us looking all around, had a blast hanging in the game room... my kids are already planning the next trip!

Oh my goodness!! This place is great! We wanted something a little different and this was it!! Hans is great and a lot of fun. Service was excellent! Clean place. Great pancake breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!

I was looking for a more warm and inviting place to stay in St. Augustine this trip, and the Pirate Haus Inn was even better than I expected! The location is ideal for taking in the town, and indeed almost becoming part of the town while you are there.

My room felt larger, more substantial, and more comfortable than the pictures and other reviews capture. Even though things are wonderfully whimsical, there is also a charming old-world solid feel to the place that I loved.

If you want the warm welcome and homey feel of a bed and breakfast, but not the cost and pretentiousness, this is the place for you! I can't wait to come back next year!

Great family experience at a great price! Our host Captain Hans was a lot of fun. She is great to talk to and is fantastic with the kids. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again in the future. The kids really had a good experience.

Great location, great price, and Capitan Hans was phenomenal. The pancakes were super fluffy and delicious. She is very knowledgeable about the area as well. We made a friend that we won't forget.

This is a different experience compared to a normal hotel. It felt more like staying with family and friends than it did a hotel. Although my boys are grown, they absolutely loved it. Highly recommended!

Absolutely one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed! Location is everything and the Pirate Haus Inn has that and more! Friendly staff and whimsical rooms in this fantastic old building. Walking distance to all the shops on St George Street makes this one of the most convenient places to stay in the oldest city in the USA! There is parking available for an extra fee, and I’d say it’s worth it if you plan to walk around the city exploring. Also, let them know your plans and they’ll help with activities or recommendations for dinner! Thanks, Hans! I would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at the Pirate Haus for over a decade. I am happy to see that the new owner will continue with the hospitality that has kept me coming back. Conrad has built a wonderful inn and they are continuing to hold on to the quirky style that makes it unique.
Captain Han is a joy to be around. I really enjoyed my stay even more because of her. Hang on to her for as long as you can because I believe she is going places in this world.

An absolutely amazing experience. Could not have asked for a better location . The rooms were wonderful. They had so much character. My kids although older, were so excited and mesmerized by the rooms. The staff there were phenomenal. Very easy to get a hold of. Hans and Filipe were so friendly, they made you feel at home . The pancakes Hans made for breakfast were absolutely delicious. She even wrote our names on them. I will definitely be coming back and I would recommend this place 100%

I stayed there with my family a few years ago and loved the experience! From the moment we entered, it felt like we were on a ship. Our room had characters from POTC on the tiles in the bathroom!
The staff made us pancakes for breakfast. They would write our names first let it cook a bit, and then add more batter around it so it was almost like engraving our names on a pancake.
I would love to come back one day.

For us everything was perfect- but not everyone’s cup of tea… promise that kids will love staying there. The owner very friendly and respectful, so are rest of his stuff. Absolutely perfect location! ❤️
