What makes up for this was the service. Absolutely amazing staff, who are all friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Kilosay, the hotel manager. He went out of his way to welcome us with complementary massages and coconuts!
The quiet, private beach was also very nice to relax in. Far away from the tourist traps.
Overall pretty decent, could be improved with real doors and air conditioning.
We loved the three small pools here to refresh ourselves and went looking for shells on the private beach. There is a bus going to the beach about every hour if you want to go somewhere else and you can hire a driver to take you to the turtle pool, the prison island, the herb gardens and everything else on the island. If you want to go diving, a driver will pick you up to take you to Divepoint at the Sunshine Marine Lodge.
So if you're looking for a quiet place to relax after your safaris or whatever, this is definitely the place to go.... Really worth it! I would go right back!

Everyone can find something for themselves - you can relax by the pools or spend some time on the beach (the sunbeds are very comfortable). You can take a nice stroll to Matemwe by the beach during low tide.
The food is very tasty and the portions you get are more than enough.
The hotel can arrange various activities for you. For example you can go snorkeling or diving which I highly recommend. Everything is organized perfectly so you can enjoy the ocean and see many different kinds of fish and even dolphins!
However, we stayed in an upstairs room and it was almost 40 degrees celcius during the night. Very very difficult and tiring to sleep and we were resting during the day. Definitely need A/C because fans are not enough..
Food prices are expensive but really tasty food. Massage was okay. Beach is really good
constructively to maintain and improve our standards of service and facilities. We certainly hope
to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the near future.
Ce tableau serait idyllique si la situation de l’hôtel loin de toute commodité ne nous obligeait pas à se restaurer sur place… et c’est là que tout bascule! Nous avons tous été lourdement intoxiqués par la nourriture de l’hôtel ce qui a plus que gâché notre séjour. Vomissements et diarrhées sont assurément à votre programme dès lors que la faim vous poussera vers le restaurant de l’hôtel . Amateurs de cures de detox hard core, soyez les bienvenus mais pour les vacances paradisiaques, on repassera.
Bref, à fortement éviter!
Diese Hotelanlage war mit Abstand die teuerste, wird dem Preis aber bei weitem nicht gerecht.
Es gibt keine Klimaanlage auf dem Zimmer, was ein erholtes Schlafen bei solchen Temperaturen sehr erschwert. Täglich erhält man eine Flasche Wasser und wer zusätzliches Wasser möchte, muss zahlen. In anderen Hotels war es selbstverständlich Wasser kostenfrei aufzufüllen. Das Essen, insbesondere die Cocktails waren absolut überteuert. Leider ist man gezwungen in diesem Hotel zu essen und zu trinken, da es um dem Hotel nichts gibt. Die Hotelanlage ist super abgelegen und es führen keine richtigen Straßen dort hin.
Unser Waschbecken war kaputt. Das Wasser lief komplett ins Zimmer. Die Kopfkissen rochen miefig das war sehr unangenehm!
Es gibt kein funktionierendes Kartenlesegerät und check out ist bereits um 10 Uhr.
Chambre spacieuse certes mais très bruyante car ajourée tout autour; aucune intimité pour un couple ! Si vous êtes proche de la réception, à bannir.
Les équipements (transats, coussins et même certains meubles de chambre) sont trop vieux et devraient être racheter !
On est resté 11j à Zanzibar on s’est toujours régalé et là c’est la première fois que la nourriture n’était vraiment pas bonne (aucun raffinement et même le chapati local était loupé).
Seul point positif : la plage qui est jolie et agréable.
Globalement, passez votre chemin car le rapport qualité-prix n’est pas bon et il y a tant de jolis hôtels autour ! On devait faire 3 nuits avec mon mari on a écourté à 2 nuits, c’est dire !
Enfin voyage inoubliable avec ou sans safari mais avec c'est mieux.
On appréciera la petite taille de l’hôtel, ce qui est agréable contrairement au gros complexe
La chambre était grande et très confortable avec un balcon vue mer
L’hôtel est un peu excentré mais cela ne nous a pas gêné, car on a tout le confort sur place (3 piscines, spa, restaurant vu mer et la plage)
Sans parler des coupures d'eau, du wifi qui ne fonctionne pas..
