Place is beautiful and service is very friendly but portions of our vegetarian food were very small without any bread or rice that we were more hungry after eating so finally decided to order some bread at 4 euro per piece to top us up. Suggest to increase your portion size and add some rice or bread along side.
This place was awesome! The food was excellent, the service was friendly and waitstaff had great recommendations. And the outdoor tables in charming Dubrovnik was perfect. Thank you, Taj Mahal, for a memorable meal!
Food was okay but service left a lot to be desired! We were one of two customers for the majority of the time there and had to wait a long time to order, then for plates to be cleared. No one came and checked if our meal was okay and we had to get up and ask for the bill after waiting for ages and only then were our plates cleared. Very disappointed in the service considering the price we paid and how quiet the restaurant was. Would not recommend.
Such a wonderful restaurant. This was recommended to us by our hosts as well. Dishes are definitely more expensive than outside old town, but on par with old town prices.
Every cent paid is worth it though. The food is made by people who try to elevate traditional food while still maintaining its heritage. We loved every single thing we had, and highly recommend the Tufahije apple dessert!!
The Taj Mahal is traditional Bosnian cuisine done extremely well. We started with the Bosnian mezze board accompanied with flat bread. This was very tasty and the bread was fantastic. For main we ordered one traditional dish of beef stew and the half and half veal kebab. All the meat was tender and well seasoned. Shame that the half-half arrived a bit cold. The baklava cheesecake and the tea were also very good and overall we had a very good dinner. Would recommend and go back there for more as the menu is vast. Service was also attentive and accommodating.
Amazing service, amazing food.
Only downside was that I asked for medium rare steak and have gotten medium-medium well done steak (This happens in 90% of restaurants for some reason). As a sign of apology, they gave us free Baklava and Hurmasica which were by far the best part of the lunch. I have eaten over 100 different Baklavas and I cant say I have tried any that were near as good as this one was.
I would highly recommend you to give them a visit and try out their food.
The food is absolutely delicious. Service is great and the food didn’t take too long to come. There is a halal section in the menu for those who eat halal. Highly recommend!
Yemekler efsane, harika bir lezzet sunuyor. Dubrovnik'e her gelisimizde uğruyoruz. Etler taze ve lezzetli. Tam bir lezzet yolculuğu. Dubrovnikte 1 numara. Rezervasyon gerekir.
Hi Monarchs, this butterfly was hungry at 11am on Monday after Easter and stopped here to refuel. The food, service and restaurant were absolutely fantastic. The menu had alot of options and I will definitely fly back here to try more of the food.
Very nice place to dine, the menu is a bit too meat centric but otherwise recommended. Had the lamb shish, flatbread, and a glass of cab. Wine was local and excellent. Service was very friendly and efficient. Atmosphere in the old city is top notch.
