With a Michelin star you have high expectations, high expectations that are thrown off the rooftop as soon as you sit down with lack luster service. At least there is a good view to sit and ponder about the better service you’ve had at places with no Michelin recognition. Not worth the detour, try another rooftop restaurant

Nous avons réservé une semaine dans cet hôtel une "double room with acropolis view". Un peu préoccupée par les avis négatifs concernant la cathédrale et le bruit dans les chambres, j'ai envoyé un mail avant de réserver pour demander si les cloches sonnaient fréquemment. On m'a répondu qu'elles sonnaient 2 fois par jour. J'ai pensé que c'était gérable, et j'ai réservé. En arrivant, j'ai compris qu'on m'avait trompée et qu'elles sonnaient 2 fois par heure (elles marquent toutes les heures, toutes les demi-heure, et sonnent de manière anarchique de temps en temps -mais ils diront que c'est exceptionnel, c'est une période de fêtes… alors que cela ne l'est pas). Nuit presque blanche donc, 3 heures de sommeil au forceps (ce qui est un peu un comble pour un hotel). Au delà des cloches qui sonnent perpétuellement la chambre 102 était au 1er étage sur une rue où la circulation est constante. Un peu l'impression de dormir sur l'autoroute A7. (au delà du bruit la chambre est minuscule, pas de salle de bain à proprement dit, un lavabo au pied du lit, et un bloc, ou une douche et un wc se tournent le dos. Zéro intimité possible )
Mis devant le fait accompli: l'email reçu, le manager a reconnu qu'ils s'étaient "trompé" en me donnant cette information (hahaha). Ils m'ont proposé une suite à coté de ma chambre, avec le même problème de bruit nuit et jour, ou un déclassement dans une chambre standard ( voir photos) soit disant plus calme. Nous avons passé la nuit suivante dans cette dernière. Chambre humide, murs salles, mobilier abimé, porte de la salle de bain cassée, moucherons et une seule fenêtre qui donne sur l'escalier sans possibilité d'avoir de l'air, obligé d'utiliser la clim pour ne pas étouffer. Nous avons souhaité partir, et je leur ai demandé le geste commercial de bien vouloir me rembourser les nuits restantes, sachant qu'ils m'avaient trompée en me donnant de fausses informations. Ils ont refusé, et m'ont offert d'occuper la suite mitoyenne a la chambre, tout en reconnaissant que les nuisances sonores y seraient les mêmes. Le manager m'a informé que le proprietaire lui même ne voulait pas me rembourser. Nous avons donc quitté l'hotel à nos frais (plus de 1500 euros quand même). Au delà du fait que ces gens soient malhonnêtes, et malgré le restaurant 1 étoile Michelin plutôt très bon (où curieusement une bouteille d'eau n'a pas le même prix qu'une autre) l'hôtel est vraiment miteux, et ne colle pas aux standards qu'ils visent. J'espère que cet avis aidera d'autres voyageurs à ne pas tomber dans le panneau!

The food did not disappoint, but the wine arrangement wasn't value for money. Only 7 small glasses without refill for 85 euro.
Also the courses were coming way to fast, and we didn't get the chance to taste the wine before getting the course it fits to, which is very important for foodies like us.

Otel Duomo nun tam karşısında gayet merkezi bir lokasyonda. Heryere yürüme mesafesinde. Odalar tarihi bir konağın içinde yer alıyor. Roofta yer alan Michelin yıldızlı restoran çok başarılı.
Ayrıca tüm personel çok ilgili ve nazik.

Ich bin mit hohen Erwartungen in dieses Restaurant gegangen, jedoch erwies es es sich als eine Katastrophe.
Ich habe 30 Minuten auf meine Bestellung gewartet.
Dann kam die Vorspeise mit dem Hauptgang zusammen.
Die Spitze der Umfähigkeit war jedoch das mein Risotto komplett kalt war, wie aus dem Kühlschrank.
Auch erwarte ich in einem Restaurant mit Sternen eine Stoffserviette und nicht ein Papierfetzen,

Good deserts, horrible people. The lady was so aloof speaking to us with an attitude and when we asked am for some info about some deserts she barely explained I’m a dismissive way, as if we knew nothing. In the end you’re left with a bitter taste in your mouth. I won’t go again. Greece is a place with excellent food and lovely people. There are more options out there!

Unfortunately the service was unacceptable from the entrance of the hotel up to the roof top. I have had many times in the last lunch and dinner and I had very positive experiences. This time as soon as we entered the hotel we were notified in a very abruot manner that the kitchen was out of order and could not cook anything. Unfortunately the premises obviously also not well maintained. We went to the roof top and the welcoming was nothing but welcoming. We sat by ourselves at a table and when the waiter came he repeated the problem with the kitchen. We ordered beer and wine and asked for whatever snack was available ie chips cheese bread sticks but in a very annoying manner they said nothing available. Unacceptable way of handling the kitchen issue.

A very small and cosy restaurant with a nice view in the heart of Athens! The service was very good, brunch was tasty, small portions however!

Very good restaurant with top service. Amazing view of the acropolis and the church. Tasting menu with some amazing dishes. Some are Less good. Overall nice atmosphere and with the visit.

Despite the excellent location and stunning views, the experience at this Michelin star restaurant left much to be desired. The promising setup, especially for outdoor dining in warmer months, was overshadowed by an organizational lapse. Despite pre-selecting a menu and prepaying, upon arrival, we discovered an entirely changed menu without prior notification. The lack of compensation or an apology for this oversight was disappointing.

Our server's performance added to the dissatisfaction, as she struggled with describing the plates, displaying unnatural pauses and forgetfulness. Little details, such as torn and stained menus and bill pockets, detracted from the overall ambiance.

The food, unfortunately, failed to compensate for these shortcomings. Opting for beef, the absence of provided knives was a notable oversight. Overall, the experience fell short of the expectations associated with a Michelin star restaurant.

Une vue magnifique du Roof Garden sur l'Acropole, le service est parfait, les plats sont excellents. Il y a un parking pas très loin, payant mais sécurisé.

Me and my family had an excellent dining experience with a breathtaking Acropolis view.

We decided to have lunch here on Christmas day. We made a reservation for the set menu and paid 50% of the menu price for 7 persons. I do not object to a "no show" penalty, but there are limits, especially when you pay more than a week in advance. The roof garden restaurant offers wonderful views of the Acropolis and part of the Plaka district. The interiors howerver are sort of darkish with green marble tones and rather cramped. Mind you, the sofas are quite uncomfortable. This is definitely a "sunny day" spot for outdoors seating. Unfortunately the dishes did not stand up to Ziller's reputation. The mushroom soup was indifferent if not watery, the risotto simply edible and the veal loin was probably the best treat. Strangely, they never asked the preferred doneness. Moreover, all 3 of them arrived lukewarm. Good ingredients, average if not uninspired execution and presentation. A positive note: they did not charge the corked wine. The wine list is extensive. Finally, the service was polite but desperately slow. A pitiful experience indeed, on a special day...
