Beautiful hotel for luxury stay.
Great pool areas, rooms, food and quiet.
Miles away from the madness of central alberferia which I would give a total miss.
Fee local restaurants and bars nearby but this is a luxury spot... The way I like it ...

Excelente spa

Wir waren in der Vorsaison in diesem wunderschönen Hotel. Es war nur ein Restaurant geöffnet, aber das Angebot dort war absolut ausreichend und auf einem sehr (!) hohen Niveau. Das Personal dort und überall im Hotel war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Wir mögen den Stil der Zimmer: Nicht überladen, sondern elegant nüchtern. Der Weg hinunter zum Strand über eine Treppe war kein Problem. Die ganze Hotelanlage wirkte wie ein großer Park. Die Vielzahl der Pools lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Hotel in direkter Strandlage, dass sich harmonisch in die Landschaft der Pinien einfügt. Große Pools im Außen und Innenbereich (außen nicht beheizt). Sehr großzügiger SPA-Bereich mit Sauna und Dampfbad. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll mit hellem Holz eingerichtet. An das mit Schiebewänden vom Zimmer abgeteilte Bad muss man sich gewöhnen, es schafft aber ein größeres Raumgefühl. Die zum Balkon vollverglaste (wärmeschutzverglasung) Front ist mit sehr gut schließenden Schiebtüren auch gut schallgeschützt.
Die Balkone groß, mit Liege 2 Stühlen und Tisch. Die Zimmer mit Meerblick (4. Etage) sind den Aufpreis wert! Der Blick geht über die Pinien und die Steilküste direkt auf denn Atlantik. Durch die Ausrichtung sitzt man fast immer windgeschützt und kann den Blick genießen.
Im der Vorsaisonsind nur 2 Resturants geöffnet. Die Küche im Buffettresataurant ist excelent gut und vielfältig. Der Einfluss des Sternekochs ist deutlich merkbar. Selbst Austern wurden an einigen Tagen als Vorspeise angeboten. Der Patissier des Hauses ist ein Künstler!
Das Preisleistungsverhältnis der Halbpension ist top. Die Preise an den Bars waren eher hoch.
Der Service war in allen Bereichen sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Insgesamt haben wir 10 Tage mit der Familie sehr genossen. Leider mussten wir am letzten Tag wegen eines Kongresses in ein 5*-Haus in Villamoura umziehen. Wir wurden dafür aber großzügig entschädigt.
Im Vergleich würden wir wieder das Epic Sana buchen.
Wenn überhaupt etwas besser werden könnte, dann sollte in Vorsaison einer der Außenpools beheizt werden.

We have had the most phenomenal time at the EPIC Sana Algarve for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We stayed on level 3 in a corner room of the resort and it was lovely and quiet. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we have been made to feel so welcome. All staff have been incredibly hospitable to ensure our stay has been amazing. Whoever's choice/designed the bathroom, just thank you! The bath tub is huge and amazingly relaxing.

The hotel resort is right next to the beach, it's a short walk and on route you get to enjoy the wonderful gardens of Epic Sana.

The old town, where there are some shops and the marina is 20 minutes in a taxi. The airport is 40 minutes away. I would recommend getting a car if you would like to explore outside of the resort as the key areas are not in walking distance.

The hotel has various restaurants during this time of year the Uddon is open for lunch and Abyad for breakfast and dinner. Both have been amazing, the food choices have been delicious. The food for dinner is a combination of buffet/fresh food. We were not sure if the meats were halal and the chefs and staff went out of their way to find out (halal meat is served, for any other Muslim visitors).

I wanted to personally thank Patricia for her amazing mocktails, Guilherme for his cheekiness and hospitality! Also, the lovely kitchen staff Gonçalo for checking meats and ensuring we were put at ease. Following this we were able to enjoy some lamb ribs that were cooked to perfection.
All staff have been wonderful and friendly, it really is a testament to the whole experience.

The hotel adds those small touches to make the whole experience so personal. This has been in the form of simple things like flowers at the entrance, sending personalised cards to guests, chocolates and water in the evening. They also sent us some delicious cake to enjoy for our anniversary.

The only thing I would highlight is housekeeping was a little slow i.e. extra towels and cleaning of rooms in the morning but honestly I'm ready to let that go because the rest of the experience was amazing!

Epic Sana has really spoiled us for the 3 nights we have been here. If we were to come back to Algarve, this is where we will stay and anyone that asks for a recommendation I will be referring them to Epic Sana!

Excellent hôtel. En février durant les vacances scolaires française l'hôtel était très calme. Notre chambre en duplex avec terrasse et accès jardin était parfaite : propre, confortable, bien équipée et très jolie. Seul petit défaut, la température réglée à 29° à notre arrivée. Facilement réglé en ouvrant les fenêtres !
La piscine intérieure était bien chaude et souvent déserte le soir, un vrai plaisir. Service excellent, personnel attentionné et toujours aimable.
Nous étions en formule demi-pension. Petit déjeuner varié, très bon état copieux, avec des omelettes minutes excellentes. Le restaurant buffet du soir était là encore parfait. Nous n'avons jamais mangé la même chose en une semaine ! Les plats cuisinés étaient tous très bons, mais mention spéciale aux pâtisseries qui étaient chaque fois un vrai régal.
L'hôtel est bien positionné pour visiter la région, avec l'une des plus belles plages d'Algarve accessible directement depuis l'hôtel par de jolis escaliers en bois en bord de falaise.
Nous avons passé une superbe semaine à l'Epic Sana.
Nous recommandons et avons hâte de revenir !

Le petit déjeuner est très bon et dans la norme pour cette game d'hôtel au Portugal.
Le personnel est très agréable et très serviable en toutes circonstances ... J'ai du mal à comprendre certains commentaires disant que le personnel est froid ... ce qui est rarement le cas au Portugal.... Allez à Paris juste pour comparer :)

The 6 night stay was fantastic!! Luxury at its best. The beach is just a walk away. The staff are very pleasant service impeccable, breakfast lunch and dinner delightful.

We stayed for 5 days with our 16 month old
The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly
Nothing was too much for them in terms of helping with our toddler
From warming his food, a cot in the room, the lovely lady in the kids club and even a present on Christmas day which was a very useful tool to keep him distracted for the rest of the trip
All the staff always had a smile on their face
The cleaning staff was also very friendly, polite and made sure there was loads of bottles of water
Breakfast was nice and a good amount
A lovely beach close by as others have mentioned and a lot of open grounds to walk around
We missed our flight and they were able to arrange efficiently another night for us to stay in a similar room
It could have easily gone all wrong but the hotel made sure everything was smooth

Sehr schöne Lage mit Zugang zum Strand. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auf keinen Fall sollte man sich das Abendessen entgehen lassen: Sehr gute Auswahl von hoher Qualität.

Excellent restaurant gastronomique ! Une expérience inoubliable

Une très bonne table dans un secteur où il y a peu de restaurant gastronomique. Je recommande ce restaurant pour la qualité de ses menus à un prix correct .
Inventivité , audace dans les saveurs, jolie présentation, vaisselle moderne et verrerie de qualité, service assez soigné et agréable . Bon rythme dans l’organisation des plats .
Seul petit bémol , le restaurant est engoncé et sombre, il manque une vue ! Dommage car la décoration est pourtant réussie avec un très beau mobilier !

Expérience incroyable !! Nous avons déjà mangé dans des restaurants étoilés, mais là ça a vraiment devancé nos autres expériences. Nous avons pris l’accord mets et vins, ce fut des explosions de saveur à chaque bouchée !

Excellent restaurant que nous découvrons pour la 3ème fois. Service excellent. Originalité des plats. Servie très attentionné. Carte des vins exceptionnelle et à prix abordable. Cadre magique. Bref ce restaurant mérite largement une étoile au Michelin ! Que font les inspecteurs ?

Deuxième passage: confirmation totale, c'est une pépite! Vaut le détour. Cuisine inventive et originale, grande maîtrise de l'équipe de jeunes talents. Service en salle parfait et chaleureux. Service des vins impeccable. Belle vaisselle. Beau décor. Bonne bande son. Tout y est pour obtenir au moins une étoile si le Michelin veut bien passer par là... Prix très raisonnables. On y retournera dès que possible.
