Overall, this place is very nice. We liked the open foyer area and the vibes. We were a bit disappointed by the bedroom which has a bit of a hostel feel to it. The staff was also uneven: very friendly one day, a bit short the next. The French helper/waitress for instance did not smile much. The communal dinner could have been fun, but the wine they had (only 1-2 types) was absolutely awful and not cheap. Also, I ordered the steak "very rare" but it came well done. They were kind enough to substitue, but the second one I got was still fridge-cold, almost as to spite me....

Niché dans la verdure, vu sur le volcan pour tout le monde ! Accueil chaleureux du patron et de toute l'équipe dans un lieu qui ne peut laisser indifférent ????????
Chambre parfaite, salle de bain aussi.
Repas gastronomique s'il vous plaît ???? et petit déjeuner extra ! Merci merci merci

Excelente atención, en general de su personal de servicio, recepcionistas, su dueño , el chef. Todos y todas muy amables.
Apto para personas con dificultades de movilidad.
Los jardines están bastante bien cuidados, muchas aves, en general hermoso.
Las comidas deliciosas, opción para vegetarianos.
Habitaciones, un pero se escucha todo lo de la habitación de al lado*
Bonita la forma de utilizar de estañon para la silla.
Muy cerca del centro de Bijagua, cerca de parque, de otros lugares atractivos para quienes aman la naturaleza.

Amazing lodge, a short distance from the Volcan Tenorio (Rio Celeste) nature reserve. The owner Joel is a great character, who explains a lot and is really a joyful man.
The eco part of the lodge is really nice.
Great views from everywhere at the lodge.
The whole staff was really friendly, and baby friendly.
Rooms were nice and comfortable, could be a bit hot.
Last but not least, the food... as other reviewers mentioned, really amazing. Original, fun and well executed dishes. The food by itself is worth a trip.
We, and our baby had a great time.

Lodge très bien situé au cœur de la nature. Le personnel est très agréable. Par contre le Directeur est cyclothymique il s est permis des remarques ou il semblait oublier la notion d humilité. Alors que nous lui demandions ou se trouvait le jardin il s est permis de répondre :'j ai 7000 clients à l année si je leur répète tous 2 fois j ai pas fini. Déjà il ne nous avait pas expliqué et puis même si ça n avait pas été le cas pourquoi cette agression verbale gratuite?
Ensuite lors du repas il a été très agréable.
Nous n avons rien compris....

Très bel hôtel caché dans la forêt avec une magnifique vue sur le volcan. On y mange très très bien !

Très bel hôtel atypique pour être au calme. Vue de la chambre sur les volcans et le très beau jardin. Nous avons apprécié la grande chambre avec une petite salle d’eau, toujours tourné vers l’extérieur. Salle à manger très sympa avec une cuisine ouverte. Petit dej bon. Il y a une mangeoire à oiseaux et en se balançant dans le jardin on peut observer des animaux. Dîner à réserver !

Several reviews mention the food and this review is no exception. We were only here one night but the timing was perfect as we experienced lunch, dinner and breakfast. Beyond great, all three. The room was adequate, nothing special, but certainly comfortable. The location is almost stunning. Great views of the mountains along with a huge garden in front of the rooms. We walked the trail through the garden before we left. It's incredibly well done. Joel, the owner, happened to be around so we spent some time chatting with him. Great personality with a very interesting story.
I'll end this review the same way I started it. The food. Just cannot say enough about it. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Excellent ! L'endroit est magique pour la faune et la flore, les chambres au top avec une superbe vue. Merci pour ces 2 jours, malheureusement trop court ! Un lugar que encandila desde la llegada, personal educado, a la vez que cercano.
Su propietario atento con cada uno de los huéspedes, acoge como si se estuviera en su propio hogar, uno de siente comodo dedde la llegada.
Gran historia y filosofía de proyecto de slojsmiento, autosostenible que aporta al entorno, en forma de servicio prestado, trabajadores, un plus a la comarca.
Totalmente recomendable, toda una experiencia. Concepto único de espacio abierto.

A truly relaxing, peaceful and beautiful hotel. The owner, Joel, is clearly passionate about his hotel and this was evident in the details of the location, the food and the way the hotel was managed and organised. It was like a breath of fresh air to stay here for 2 days, after being in more hectic places we enjoyed the calm of Celeste Mountain Lodge. The food was really delicious and we loved the dining room at night. There was a lovely private trail to walk on too which was great. Thank you Joel for making us feel so welcome.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre passage dans cet établissement. Une bulle hors du temps en pleine forêt tropicale. Très bel établissement, jardin et réserve privée. Cuisine délicieuse. Un souveniez précieux de notre séjour au Costa Rica. Merci au propriétaire pour son accueil et sa gentillesse.

This is an amazing location! Staff and doors was great, it is situated in a perfect area to see wildlife and has its own private trails. We had an amazing stay.

Sans aucun doute l'hôtel que nous avons le plus apprécié au Costa Rica. Accueil très chaleureux, architecture et déco très plaisantes, repas délicieux, environnement exceptionnel, ce fût un plaisir que d'y avoir séjourné et de plus, on y parle français. La forêt "privée", les oiseaux, le parc Ténério et ses eaux turquoises en font un must qu'il faut absolument cocher dans votre circuit au Costa Rica.

Un endroit exceptionnel à tous points de vue. Une architecture éblouissante, une forêt privée magnifique, une cuisine de qualité, un accueil francophone qui vous donne le sentiment d'être là en invité. L'accès n'est pas facile, mais après, quelle récompense!
