El Drifter es un motel como los que Estados Unidos sabe hacer, sólo hay que ver el cartel de neón de la fachada del edificio para entenderlo. Las habitaciones, a las que se accede desde el exterior como es tradicional en los moteles americanos, están alineadas alrededor de la piscina. Renovado en 2017, el hotel ofrece habitaciones sencillas, limpias y modernas, pero sigue conservando cierto encanto del viejo mundo. El Drifter es especialmente popular entre los jóvenes viajeros de todo el mundo, que disfrutan del ambiente y de la convivencia.

I recently attended a pool party at The Drifter Hotel with members of our non-profit organization and unfortunately, my experience was marred by an incident that has left me dissatisfied and frustrated. I feel compelled to share my experience with others to avoid similar situations in the future.
Upon arrival, I was excited to relax and enjoy the festivities. I ordered a glass of wine from the bartender, who seemed friendly and attentive. The drink itself was fine, but I was shocked when I checked my credit card statement later and discovered an unauthorized charge of $11 instead of the $5 I had expected.
It became apparent that the bartender had added an unauthorized $6 tip to my bill for a mere $5 drink. This left a sour taste in my mouth, as I had already left a cash tip at the time of purchase. It is disheartening to see such dishonest behavior from a staff member, especially in a hospitality establishment where trust and fairness should be paramount.
In an effort to resolve this issue, I have made numerous attempts to contact The Drifter Hotel via phone and email over the past two weeks. Regrettably, my efforts have been met with silence. The lack of response and failure to address this matter promptly and professionally only compounds my disappointment.
As a non-profit organization, every dollar counts, and it is disconcerting to see a business take advantage of its customers in this manner. I hope that management at The Drifter Hotel takes this review seriously and takes immediate action to rectify the situation. A refund for the unauthorized tip and a genuine apology for the lack of response would go a long way in restoring my trust in their establishment.
While I understand that mistakes can happen, it is the responsibility of the business to promptly address and rectify.
