HÔTEL CATALONIA PUNTA DEL REY ^{* * * *}

If you could move the hotel looking to the sea to the right about 400yards. Hotel great, staff great, food Good, location could be better but on local bus route.

Relación precio calidad está bien. Es un hotel que parece haber sido importante en su momento pero hoy queda desactualizado. La comida está bien, hasta ahí. Instalaciones ok, se quedaron un poco en el tiempo pero están bien. Me pusieron unas sábanas rotas, pero en general todo estaba muy limpio. Hacen shows por las noches que se escuchan bastante desde las habitaciones, incluso en los pisos altos. En cuanto a ubicación, queda un poco lejos de las playas más bonitas, el norte suele tener condiciones climáticas un poco más adversas (más viento y lluvias), diría que es necesario si o si un coche si quieres hacer playa y/o conocer un poco más la isla.

Fablous Hotel, very clean and rooms are of good size, staff very friendly. Food is very good and something for everyone. Many people we have met over the few years we have been visiting have also spent many times at this hotel. So that says something about this hotel. Lots of good entertainment day and night.
It is certainly good value for money.

The hotel rooms are dated, our beds were wobbly ( they're on legs ) the patio doors didn't lock and ours weren't the only ones as heard others complaining of this, the mirror door was cracked, and the bottom of the bathroom door was rotten, also the main door lock was damaged, it looked like the room had been broken into previously and not properly repaired.
However the hotel was very clean, there was always someone painting an area, cleaning the communal areas, the glass was removed from around the sunbed areas, tiling was being done too. We were all inclusive and the food was extremely good, desserts not to my liking but there was plenty of choice, including ice cream and fruit, lots of vegetarian choices too. The hotel had lots of entertainment, day and night ( a bit like a butlins) a few times people had drunk too much and we saw 2 people fall over drunk and had to be escorted away, once in the restaurant and once outside the bar area. I also found we weren't given much information, we gained info from other guests, like the availability of bottled water at meals, the availability of games, boule, snacks at the bar ( crisps and peanuts if you ask ) etc
I have to say all the staff were lovely, polite and very friendly.

El hotel esta para reformarlo por completo. Me cambiaron de habitación sin pedirlo dadas las deficiencias que tenía (inodoro se salía el agua, la puerta de la terraza no cerraba, la puerta de entrada no abría…) Los salones son escasos en caso de tener que utilizarlos por mal tiempo. A los espectáculos no se puede ir dada la poca capacidad del salón con respecto a la ocupación del hotel. Las bebidas en el restaurante de poca calidad, a excepción del cava , ( por cierto este antes lo había en el desayuno ahora ya no). La piscina infinita solo es para los del todo incluido así como el recinto en el que está. El buffet aceptable. La conservación de las instalaciones es nula (ascensor son papel de la pared despegado estuvo así toda la semana y creo que llevará bastante tiempo así. Puertas de accesos a escaleras de servicio totalmente ajadas sin picaportes). La ubicación no es la más apropiada de Tenerife está a 14 km de la capital y las playas en esta zona son malas y los lugares a visitar tampoco están cerca.
