Positives:
Great location if you want to have easy access to several “main attractions”(walking distance to National Theater, Jade Museum, etc). You will be grateful for valet parking ($28). Hotel is nice. Very friendly staff!! Pretty rooms. Breakfast buffet is fresh, good variety.
Negatives:
The air freshener they use is overpowering. If you are sensitive to smells (like me), beware. I left w/ a migraine. Beds are FIRM (this could be a positive for some). I would not eat dinner in the hotel restaurant (Cultura 5). Food was good enough (not great), but prices are exorbitant!!! We spent $68 for 1 steak sandwich w/ fries, 1 bowl of soup, 1 cocktail & 2 waters.

The hotel location is really optimal. You cannot be more downtown than that. The food and drinks are fabulous. Oscar and Roy both bartenders on two different evening were very caring and made great suggestion for drinks and food. The happy hours were appreciated with not only drinks but food that came along. It was way more than just peanuts very high end food to go with your drinks. The room was big and clean. We would go again.

in Costa Rica and was surprised by the series of unfortunate experiences. First and foremost, the Wi-Fi was completely non-functional throughout my stay. For the price paid, I expected reliable internet access, especially from a prestigious brand like Hilton.
Furthermore, the staff’s demeanor was unsettling. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt scrutinized, as if every move was being watched with suspicion. This added an unwelcome layer of discomfort to my visit.
Overall, this was a letdown and not at all what I anticipated from Hilton’s reputation. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and that improvements will be made for future guests.
