Este lugar se distingue por su carácter, encanto y diversidad. Productos locales (quesos y delicatessen para acompañar el vino) y comida tradicional. Se puede elegir entre una terraza con vistas al teatro romano, una sala para los amantes de la cerveza, otra para el catering y una última para exposiciones de arte. Un verdadero recorrido histórico puntuado por una cisterna romana y un pozo etrusco. Además de este escenario inesperado, el restaurante también ofrece una excelente sorpresa, no se puede perder la trippa Volterriana y la pasta fresca casera.

Do not eat there . Crispy chicken served completely cold inside ( microwave ? ) , fries where completely empty inside and dry, pasta was not done well , grilled vegetable a dissaster … also the service was a drama . The worst is that the lady Did not want to here the feedback as we were just turists , so they don’t care about quality … a big dissapointment ????

We sat at a table with the most beautiful view. The bruschetta was the most delicious we have ever tasted, tomatoes, garlic, black pepper, balsamic but incredible olive oil. The home made pasta was melt in your mouth amazing. We chose hare and wild bore. The house wine was just perfect and extremely reasonably priced. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough for anyone who is looking for an authentic Italian meal in a stunning setting. ( only 2 tables have this view)

We were here for several meals while staying at the Hotel San Lino. Since the hotel restaurant was not open and our reservations included dinner, we had to eat at Le Cantine del Palazzo.

We were not impressed. As a San Lino guest, you have a different, very limited, menu. (A photo of the menu was not accepted by google for the review—not sure why).

When we asked if water or wine was included in the fixed menu, the host, who spoke fluent english, told us 'whatever you want'. At the end of the meal we discovered it is not included.

Overall we were not impressed by the quality or choice of the food options.

The next time we were at the restaurant, we asked if we could just have a credit toward the regular menu. That was ok, but they charged more than the difference in price of what was on the limited menu and the price of the choices on the regular menu. On that night we had a very good pizza and excellent desserts.

Overall, better NOT to get half board at Hotel San Lino and take your money to a different restaurant for dinner.
