Opinión HOF 1 HOTEL Litla Hof

Very clean and cozy. Great location. At least for Northern light sighting, since it has been the only place where we have seen them. Very nice and friendly staff, Bruno, receptionist. Breakfast was good, basic. Overall, we wouldnt mind to come back.

Personale gentile e disponibile, in particolare i miei complimenti vanno a Bruno, ragazzo solare e pronto a consigliarti su qualunque cosa.
Il ristorante molto buono, con pochi piatti ma particolari e che dire invece del dolce? Ottimo!
Lo consiglio davvero!

Hotel comodo alle attività ed alle escursioni da fare in zona, ristorante ottimo (con il metro di giudizio di un italiano, quindi credetemi), camere accoglienti e pulite.

Un ringraziamento speciale a Bruno che ci ha fatto sentire davvero coccolati, un professionista con il sorriso sempre sul volto!

The room is very small for the price (225 euros per night). There is a kettle in the room. There is no TV. The bed was comfortable, we had no problem with the heating and water. The walls are quite thin, so you can hear people in the next room. The breakfast was ok and it starts at 7:30am.

The rooms were clean and warm even if they were small, and the food was very nice. One small complaint was that despite having a kettle and tea bags in the room, there was no milk, only coffee creamer. You cannot make tea with coffee creamer but when we came to ask the staff for just enough milk to make a cup of tea, they refused and said that they would have to add it to the bill and that if they put it in the room for one person then "they'd have to do it for everyone"...

Why put tea bags in the room but not milk? Also, why then try to charge residents for a drop for a single cup of tea? Seems a little strange. If you are going to put tea bags in the room, providing milk seems pretty standard to me.

The good- the location is unbeatable for an early morning tour departure for ice caving and glacier hiking. It's located 3 minutes from Troll Expeditions. The breakfast was decent and we were upgraded to a room with a private bathroom, which was a nice surprise. We enjoyed the dinner options (lamb, char) and the prices were reasonable.

The not so good- the plumbing system in the main house where we stayed makes the bathrooms smell like a music festival porta-potty in the summer heat. It was nauseating and came in waves of foul smell. I don't think it's anything they can fix without fixing the entire septic system. The rooms were clean. Even with the bathroom door shut at all times, the stench of mold and sewage seeped into the room.

Our room had a headlight pointing to our window the whole night.

For us it was a great place to stay for a night and wait till the roads be available. During the storm we found peace and calm in clean room. And bufet in the morning made us happy as well.

Zarezerwowaliśmy pokój przez booking bez opcji odwolania rezerwacji. Przez silny wiatr i nieprzejezdne drogi nie mogliśmy dotrzeć do hotelu. Przez cały czas mogliśmy być w kontakcie z recepcją, a gdy okazało się, że nie będzie możliwe dotarcie do hotelu zgodzili się zwrócić nam cała kwotę rezerwacji. Takie podejście zasługuje na uznanie. Polecamy tę firmę!

Lage schön, toller Blick in die Berge. Schallschutz eher suboptimal, auch Aussenzugang zu Lobby und Zimmern sollte verbessert werden. Abendessen und Cocktails sehr empfehlenswert. Frühstück ausbaufähig, Servicepersonal ausgesprochen höflich und zuvorkommend.

Nice and cosy rooms. Only we had shared bathroom but it was ok as it was close to the room and there were two of them shared between four rooms I guess. Very good breakfast! But too costly.

Hotellet er i et ombygget fjøs. Alt er rent og fint og rommene har en fin størrelse. Lydisolering kunne bli bedre mellom rommene. Frokost er god med litt redusert utvalg i forhold til hva man er vant med. Gode parkering plasser.

Magnifique chambre très sympa avec vue sur montagne . Personnel très accueillant chaleureux et c’est rare en Islande . Petiot déjeuner complet . Bémol sur le réassort pas très bien géré mais lorsqu’on demande ils remettent.

O valor que cobram a diária é muito alto em função do que oferecem.

If you want an indoor bed close to the Glacier Lagoon or Skaftafell, this is the place for you. If your standards are any higher than that, please save your money and look elsewhere. The other reviews are not lying, and we regret ignoring them.

We cannot in any circumstances recommend staying in the main building, but we didn’t experience the others and it’s possible they were better.

Do you like hot showers? They run on a boiler system so it’s hit or miss if you get some. Not knowing if we were going to be some of the lucky ones made showering stressful and rushed.

Do you like having a quiet place to sleep? There is zero soundproofing, so you’ll hear guests having conversations late at night in rooms across the hall or next door, guests making random noises, guests walking up and down the stairwell and playing music while they hang out in reception. You’ll also hear the shower and toilet of any room next to yours.

Do you like clean bathrooms? Ours smelled like a port-a-potty AND a horrible air freshener(think cheap urinal cake) at the same time. There was also mold on the ceiling and buildup on the shower head. If you are at all sensitive to smells you will likely struggle to sleep.

Do you like comfortable beds? These are the equivalent of what you’d find at summer camp and the pillows are maybe two inches thick.

Do you prefer to have any control over the temperature of your room? There’s no thermostat to be found here; you get what you get. It was very warm while we were there so be prepared if you run hot.

We could not leave fast enough after a few hours of sleep, so we did not experience the included breakfast, nor did we have dinner at the restaurant. We checked out at 5:45am by leaving our key in a basket, so we only interacted with one hotel staff member during our stay, and he was very friendly and helpful. Parking is available but all over the place and if you’re one of the last to arrive you might have to search for a space.

U hotelu je krásný starý hřbitov, stojí za to ho vidět, hotel je čistý, ale pokoje jsou malé, jídlo v restauraci je dobré, ale jinak úroveň hotelu je standartní, na přespání dobré

We had a very nice room that shared two bathrooms on the floor. The restaurant is nice, serving at two times in the evening, but you have to put in a reservation. Note they have one menu for the whole week. Small breakfast is available. Very friendly staff most from Portugal. Check out the old church a short walk near by.

Quit countryside hotel. Plenty of space in the room. I had a private bathroom. Nice grounds for walking, close by to a local school, and Hofskirkja the church covered in turf and above the ground cemetery.

Breakfast was pretty basic. Dinner was good.

Habitaciones a 300€/noche, sin baño en la habitacion, sin televisión sin ascensor. Plato de pasta en el restaurante 4600 coronas= 31€.
Desayuno lamentable, no hay cafe expreso, bollería descongelada.
Solo se salva el servicio, en general, muy amable tanto en recepcion como en restaurante.

This guesthouse is located between Vic and Hofn, and it is very close to Ice lagoon. The location is good and the scene is nice. The room is very tiny but with bathroom inside. No refrigerator and the facility is very basic. There is a heater in the bathroom, you can dry your clothes. Overall, if no good choice to stay at Hofn, it is Ok.

L'agenzia ci aveva fornito l'indirizzo di questo hotel ma prenotato un altro adventure hotel ad 1 ora di auto. La ragazza alla reception è stata molto disponibile ed ha contattato l'altro albergo per avvertirli del nostro ritardo.
Ci ha anche consentito di cenare in questa struttura e debbo dire che il cosciotto di agnello era ottimo.

Schön eingerichtetes Hotel, gute Lage an der Ringstraße. Wir konnten am Abend die Nordlichter beobachten

Not enough common space to spend time outside the room. Breakfast was not good. Beds were comfy, staff very nice and super accommodating. Dinner was very good.

Cute, cozy, and clean. Staff was great, scenery make you want to take a breath, beautiful.
