Wir haben nur einen Zwischenstopp ohne Übernachtung gemacht, aber die sanitären Anlagen machten keinen so guten Eindruck und mit 2.000ISK pro Erwachsenem ohne Strom und ohne Dusche ist es recht teuer. Die Aussicht ist allerdings sensationell.

The view is great!
The campsite has two areas, across a road.
One area has an door cooking zone + eating, and the other has an outdoor cooking area and a "bathroom". There are 2 toilets (clean), washer drier (2x400 isk) and 2 showers (400isk per 7 min). You need coins. Because people do not know of the two zones, many use the tables by the showers/toilets for eating...

I can be windy, but if you are lucky, you can find a sheltered spot fot a tent.

Tjaldsvæðið sjálft er gott og mikið pláss fyrir leiki og fjör. Fannst þó vanta uppá tíðni þrifa og aðstaðan er ekkert sérstaklega aðlaðandi og heldur slöpp.

Offenbar ist der Campingplatz durch die Anfahrtsstrasse getrennt. Links WC / Küche/Aufenthaltsraum. Rechts gelbes Gebäude mit Dusche und Waschmaschine/Trockner. Mit 2000 Kronen pro Person sehr teuer! Der Hot-Pott im Ort muss extra bezahlt werden, dafür sehr schöne Aussicht.

Nice scenery. Close to the hot pots. There is a kitchen with a stove and a sink that you can use. You’ll find a room to sit and eat which is great especially in case you encounter bad weather.

Very Windy but nice stop. Tenting can be challenging though. Kitchen area, bathrooms, showers and washing machine - all the basics there.
Small Hotpots available in close distance and located at the coast - quite nice.
Nothing much to see around the campsite but perfect as a quick stop for a night.

Campsite was adequate with toilets and a well equipped kitchen with 2 electric hobs and shared cooking equipment around. The kitchen and WC is right beside each other in 2 separate containers. No official office for payment - the staff will come by at set times to do so.

The showers and laundry is located in the yellow building opposite, with stairs leading down. 400ISK for an unknown period.

Overall, as the site accepts the camping card - it's decent, but would have loved if the site offered showers for free as well.

Dusche, WC, Küche, Aufenthaltsraum alles vorhanden und Sauber.... War etwas teuer, aber die Ausstattung passte dafür noch... die Waschmaschinen haben wir übrigens nicht gefunden oder waren noch zu...

Not bad and not good. Above the village and it has everything you need. But no communal kitchen or space. Toilets, basins are ok, showers cost extra.

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!
Wir haben gestern vor Ankunft dieses Campingplatz gebucht und sind extra 150km gefahren, da er der einzige Winterparkplatz ‚in der Nähe‘ zu sein schien. Dort angekommen lagen große Holzbalken und Kiesberge vor dem Eingang und die Toiletten waren zu - der Campingplatz war also definitiv geschlossen!
Der Besitzer erstattet die bereits gezahlten Betrag NICHT zurück. Sehr ärgerlich.

Don’t bother with the showers and laundry facilities here. For the washing machine, you have to put a minimum of 400 krona but 400 krona isn’t enough to do a quick cycle of laundry. So you have to put in another 400 krona to finish it. On top of everything, the machines only accept coins which is hard to get.

I’m not sure how long of a shower you get for 400 krona but just seems not worth it.

Waren Mitte September 2022 hier. Der Raum mit WC, Duschen und Waschmaschine sowie Trockner (Münzautomaten) war beheizt und zugänglich.
Der CP ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Hüpfburg vorhanden. Schöner Blick auf die Insel Grimsey.

Schöne Aussicht, windige Lage, 1.800 ISK/Person. Es gibt Rechts und auch links von der Straße zwei Plätze. Rechts hat Duschen. Sanitärrräume ziemlich basic und etwas mehr Pflege würde gut tun. Sonst aber ok.

Anlage ist relativ gut, Dusche und Waschmaschine kostet extra und muss mit Kleingeld bezahlt werden. Schön sind die gepflegten Hotpots in der Nähe mit kostenlosen Duschen.

Much like the other reviews. Not a bad place to stay.

A small dining area and toilets on one side (blue container).

With washing machine, dining and showers on the opposite side of the road in the yellow building.

Showers aren’t free. Washing and dryer is 400 each.

The area is nice.
