New Caledonia to receive a confirmed El-Nino year Late 2023 to Early 2024 and possibly beyond.
New Caledonia affected by the Sub Tropical Band of High pressure south of the region.
Convergance zones of the intersection of two weather systems will bring inclement weather to the regions especially if low pressure remains south simultaneously bringing cloud and rain, possible thunderstorms.
The weather system North at Solomon Islands is active with convective clouding with a El-Nino Cooling of the West Pacific equatorial regions and also weakening of the trade winds equatorial system that does not amplify the West Pacific Warm pool area as in a La-Nina. Usually in an El-Nino south summer the Warm Pool builds eastbound as can be seen today.
Adverse weather systems forecast for the South Pacific for 2023-2024 have the main region of the Tonga - Fiji - Wallis and Fortuna - Samoa - Niue expanse as possibly the main spawning area for these systems. The El-nino year has shifted the spawn region more eastbound of the dateline. There is confidence on around 8 to 12 systems spawning in the south pacific in this section of the year Nov - Feb 2024.
Other areas outside this region will still need there wits about them in the area of Nov-Feb 2024 due to other influencing factors. Also note that if a system is forecast and does not make landfall remaining at sea this will still bring adverse weather to regions due to large wake areas and also is dependant on strength of system and actual forecasted path over 0-5 days.
As always preperation is key.
On one note yes I’m some places of the building it does look abit run down and smell abit old but I can see they’re improving to make it better and it’s good to see.
