Beautiful architecture and so much history. Def. worth a stay!

This hotel was just meh. The lobby is pretty, but that’s about it. Definitely won’t go out of my way to stay here again.

We checked in and when we went to our room, immediately backed out because there was already someone staying in that room. Thank goodness the person wasn’t actually in the room at the time. Went back to fix the problem and realized that the guy who had checked us in hadn’t even checked that we needed our breakfast vouchers, so he had to write those up too. Seemed pretty unbothered that someone was in that other room.

The room was fine. The view wasn’t good and the beds weren’t very comfortable. The light from the hallway comes in through the door frame and that was very annoying. There also wasn’t any hot water for a shower the first day. Breakfast was ok. There was a small buffet, but the food was not that great.

Personally, I didn’t feel very safe walking around the location. One street over was really sketchy. Again, I wouldn’t stay here again. It was just the cheapest option for a last minute hotel change.

Overall my trip to LA was lovely but this hotel is not a good hotel. The rooms are small and ordinary. The bed is old, the mattress was bouncy but the frame was weak. They did not change the sheets everyday, you had to leave a note on the bed if you wanted that done (usually you leave a note if you do NOT want the sheets changed as some people are trying to conserve water and energy). Oh and there is no blanket just sheets...even in the winter. Anyways, the tables, window seals, light fixtures and virtually everything in the room were dusty...everyday, even after housekeeping made our bed. The towels are very rough. The ventilation is poor. We had the heat on but still had to use body heat to stay warm through the night. The closet smelled awful! Like mildew and cigarettes (we had a non-smoking room). Room service was quick but overpriced (chips and salsa..$28 to include 21% gratuity and delivery fee) and tasteless (ask for salt or ranch dressing with everything). The indoor pool is very small and quite creepy, the exercise equipment is virtually unserviceable well the free weights are good but the treadmill ... no-go. Downstairs is beautiful. Lots of photo opportunities but as a hotel...no bueno. I would not recommend to anyone.

Stayed for my child’s mock trial competition. The location was great the hotel was beautiful the staff were amazing. Are room was so big and the beds and pillows were very comfortable.
