Day Three of the 2024 Eclipse to Best Friends Animal Society to Las Vegas and all points in between Tour finds us ensconced (I just LOVE that word) at 25 Mystery Frog Lane in scenic Duson, LA.
Our level gravel slip has full hookups and a picnic table. Trees are perimeter only and there is enough grass to keep the pups happy. 2 bars on ATT, about 80 cable channels and a rather small, undernourished hamster smelling of Ben Gay is barely cranking out enough bandwidth to call it an internet connection.
Slips are close together and looks like lots of full timers here. It’s clean, well kept and has a huge fenced area for the pups. Noise from I-10 is negligible and the team here is friendly and welcoming. A bargain at $27 for the night with the Passport America discount and more than adequate for a one night stand. It’s a 7 out of 10 and half a hamster ????.
We travel about 20,000 miles a year for the eight months we’re on the road. Once in awhile, you run across a place that just clicks. I love stopping in the Lafayette area each year for the food and local drives, and to land in a spot that is this clean, well kept, as well as the absolute nicest people who run and work at the park is a bonus for us. Checked in on Saturday, and immediately were invited to a full-blown Easter dinner for the next day. Ham, smoked brisket among some area side dishes. Did I mention free? Will be back every time we go through the area.
My family and I stayed at Frog City RV park for the week and had a great time. They have level, gravel pull-thru sites with a grass yard on the side and picnic table. The people who run the park are some of the friendliest I've met, and they treated us like family from the moment we got there. They offer a free breakfast to park guests on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and even had an Easter dinner while we were there. The pool was clean (and heated for those cooler days). This is also one of those rare places where our site was completely clean (no cigarette butts or dog poop) when we got there. We would definitely stop here again.
Frog City RV Park is one of the best parks we have stayed. Very friendly and helpful from both camp hosts and the long term rvers. It was great food they made for the weekend breakfasts. Will definitely be back when in the area.
Very clean, great sites, nice staff. Convenient to interstate and the interstate noise isn’t bothersome because you are tucked back a little. Even has a dog park area to get dogs out after traveling.
Not a very big RV park but well maintained with a friendly staff member. Clean facilities..
Right next to them is a gas station/ convenient mart and a casino. It's pretty quiet considering. It's great for a few nights. Prices are great especially if you have a Passport america membership.
My wife and I stayed at Frog City RV Park for a month. We stayed in our motor home. The park has good RV sites. They are mostly level. The park is very quiet. The management team was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed their pre-Mardi Gras, potluck dinner and their Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast.
I RECOMMEND. We arrived after 6pm and the reception was closed. As our phones in Brazil don't make calls, we asked another camper to call the campsite and inform them that we were there. In 5 minutes the staff came and we were very quick and kind. clean bathrooms, hot water and all the facilities we need for an overnight stay. excellent option
Had a wonderful experience at this park stayed overnight the following day ice and freezing weather came, and we got right back into our old spot, beautiful facility, easy access to the
We stopped in for an overnight stay. They have great long level sites. We did not have to unhook which was a huge convenience. Checking in with seamless, and they even escorted us to our site. They were super courteous and friendly when we checked in.
Very nice campground. Small but well maintained. Laundry and shower/ bathrooms were very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided on Saturday morning was DELICIOUS. A tiny bit of road noise from I10 but a little fan running cancelled it out. Local police drive through park pretty regular which is a plus but I felt very safe. Will definitely visit again.
A really nice place, especially easy on and off I-10. The folks running the place were super nice and accommodating. We look forward to staying here again.
Loved our brief stay. Easy to access our camping spot and it was incredibly pretty. The camp hostess was so helpful and friendly. Definitely would stay again and recommend it to anyone else.
