We had a great 6 day stay at the resort.
Food is good (even excellent at the playa restaurant).
Staff is very welcoming and helps as soon as requested.
Only drawbacks are the informations on the experiences they offer. There are some amazing experiences (kitesurf, swimming with dolphins,...) but we only learned that at the end of our stay :) so if you're there stop directly at the customer experience center to know what you could do

Wie schon beschrieben, ist das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen.
Die Anlage ist schön gelegen, die Zimmer haben eine gute Größe. ( Zum Teil renovierungsbedürftig)
Schade ist, dass der eigentliche gute Eindruck durch das Buffet -Restaurant zunichte gemacht wird.
Das Personal ist zum Teil unmotiviert bis zu unfreundlich .......Es gibt aber natürlich auch sehr nette!
Das Abendessen ( wirklich lecker) wird leider Kantinenmäßig offeriert.
Daran könnte man wirklich ohne viel Aufwand arbeiten.
Wir hatten zudem Mäuse die durch das Restaurant gelaufen sind, was den gemischten Eindruck bestärkt hat.
Den Rot-Wein den man Glasweise bestellen kann, ist leider überhaupt nicht trinkbar und ist mit mehr als 8€ je Glas komplett überzogen.
Auf negative Kritik wird garnicht nicht reagiert.....und ist nicht erwünscht.
Wir werden definitiv nicht nochmal unseren Urlaub hier verbringen.

Das hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Man sieht es überall. Fliesen kaputt. Möbilar ist auch schon sehr rampuniert. Der Service ist einfach top.

Nous avons passé 8jours exceptionnels avec vous (trop court pour nous)
Le personnels très accueillant j’ai jamais vue des personnes aussi souriante et polis en peut de jour

J'adore cet hôtel, jolie plage, equipe très à l'écoute et serviable , gentillesse est le mot d'ordre . Excellent repas, il y en a pour tous les goûts, c'est magnifique, un spa hamam et espace détente gratuit, je conseille vraiment un sejour ici, j'u ai passée 10j inoubliables ❤️

Mr Nishad who take care of every situation in every difficulty. Holidays goes smoothly.
Special turndown was done in our room with beautiful swan and flowers as well the bath tub this was a surprise for us.anusha who help me to do our reservation she is great.

The experience my wife and I had during our recent stay at Tamassa was nothing short of amazing. The highlight was undoubtedly the exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to cater to our needs. Our trip almost ended in total disaster when our flight was delayed by over 24 hours and we were left to scramble for our own shelter arrangements or face the prospect of sleeping in the departure lounge. At 1am, we called the hotel and were so, so grateful for the service we received from Rabin, who arranged for a taxi to collect us from the airport and for a room for us to stay the extra night.
Being vegan and pescatarian, we were impressed by the personalised attention we received from the kitchen team. Sous chef Kunal greeted us when we checked in to discuss our dietary requirements, setting the tone for the outstanding service we received throughout our stay. Each meal was great, with Kunal or one of the other chefs personally guiding us through the buffet options, and enquiring about our preferences for further meals. They prepared many delicious vegan dishes especially for us, including amazing Mauritian curries and fricassées, pad Thai, pizza, pasta, risotto, and burgers. The bakery chef, Jean Edinho, was always very welcoming with his big infectious smile, and chef Suraj prepared a memorable meal for us at the Playa restaurant on our extra day. The waiting staff were all friendly and attentive, especially Altaaf, who always made sure we were looked after.
The resort itself was a paradise, nestled right on the beach. We enjoyed various activities, from kayaking and pedalo rides in the bay to working out in the well-equipped gym and yoga by the beach. The massages we had in the spa were very relaxing, and we enjoyed chilling out and reading on the beach loungers and in a hammock.

Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ich habe bisher drei 4-Sterne Hotels (C-Mauritius, Tamassa und Anelia Resort & Spa) auf Mauritius gesehen und dieses Hotel ist keine 4,5-Sterne wert. Frühstück ist eigentlich immer gleich. Abendessen aber abwechslungsreicher. Fitnessstudio überschaubar, aber es ist alles vorhanden. Strand ist gut, aber etwas steinig.

We stayed in Tamassa for 8 days at the beginning of November. The resort is located in the beautiful and wild south of the island, close to many beautiful natural spots like waterfalls or parks.
The resort has a very chilled out vibe, beautiful and sophisticated, not at all in your face. The leitmotif is mindfulness and relaxation and for sure the personnel achieved this with its kindness and will to go the exra mile to make our experience as pleasant as possible. We had to rush to the hospital for a health check for our little baby and they were amazing in supporting us throughout the process. Then our flight was cancelled and even if very busy, they managed to find a room for us for the night, since we had zero support from the flying company.
Overall a great experience, spent our days on their Amazing beach sipping cocktails and enjoying the view! We promised we will be back!

Hôtel plus que parfait, la paradis sur terre. Très bien entretenu, personnel adorable, buffet copieux et succulent.
La mer est magnifique et les installations sont super.
Il y a le choix on ne s ennuie jamais.

To anyone who would like to go to Tamassa hotel my experience has always been the best ever.
I recommend this hotel above all in its category. I have personaly been at least 65 times to this hotel and every time i go the services keep getting better.
To Miss Anousha in reservation thank you for granting all my request and being so kind and helpful.
To Mr Nishad, for house keeping rooms are always top notch, clean and tidy.
To Mr Jean, i must say as i am a person who enjoys food your meals are delicious and has the right balance.
To Mr Edihno, i must say you make the best croissants and pastries i have ever had. Definitely coming back for more.
To Mr Roshan, Altaf and team its always a pleasure to have you guys serve me and my family. You have always made us comfortable and welcomed.

Voyage de Noces dans cet hôtel qui a parfaitement répondu à nos attentes.
Nous sommes partis avec notre fille de 5 ans et avons pu bénéficier su Club enfant francophone de 9h du matin à 22h le soir! Jamais vu une telle amplitude horaire et un club enfant aussi génial ; tout est prévu pour les enfants, avec des activités variés de bricolage, sorties sur la plage etc... il y a un local propre qui était nettement supérieur à toutes les crèches que notre fille a pu fréquenter en France ! Les mauriciens adorent les enfants et ça se voit !
Côté chambres : très bien aussi.
Nosu avons eu un souci d'électricité le 2eme jour et en 1h30, l'hôtel avait réglé le souci et nous avons été transféré dans une autre chambre voisine. Pour s'excuser du désagrément, ils nous avaient même mis une corbeille de fruits !
Tout le personnel de l hôtel est au petits soins pour les clients : jamais vu ça ailleurs non plus! Une hospitalité, un accueil, une gentillesse +++
On pourrait se dire que c'est juste parce qu'on est clients mais on sent très bien que cela vient du cœur ! Et cela, pour les français que nous sommes, ça fait vraiment du bien ! Mention spéciale à Kersley qui a été adorable avec nous pendant tous les séjours !
Si vous y allez pour votre voyage de Noces comme nous, vous bénéficierez d'un super package : à dîner romantique dans le restaurant à la carte, 1 petit déjeuner sur la plage, 1 séance photo, 1 cérémonie près de l'arbre à souhaits, 1 massage d'une demi heure en duo, 1 bain moussant avec vins et délicatesse sucrées ! On a été ravis de notre séjour vraiment !

Une semaine en famille parfaite! Nous avons apprécié tout particulièrement le service, l'accueil et l'emplacement de cet hôtel plein de charme, tout particulièrement adapté aux enfants.

Nous avons passé une séjour d’une semaine au Tamassa avant de partir pour le Nord, nous devions au départ loger sur l’hôtel voisin qui a du annuler notre réservation pour cause de travaux en retard. Nous avons été comblé et ne regrettons absolument pas notre choix d’être resté dans le sud, la plage de l’hôtel est magnifique, l’hôtel en lui-meme est tout aussi top ! Chaque piscine a sa petite “vue mer” ! Nous l’avions aussi depuis notre chambre. Les chambres familiale sont spacieuse et confortable ! Le restaurant est très bon avec des plats typiques mauriciens, indiens etc …. Petit dej copieux !!! Que du bon !!!

Même régler au minimum. Un petit humidificateur d’air pourrait être appréciable. Nous avons remplis les vasques d’eau chaude pour limiter la sécheresse de l’air.

Bellissimo soggiorno. Spiaggia e mare davanti l’hotel super.Personale molto gentile, jhisra come receptionist bravissima.Ristorante buoni e vari. Pan chocolate a colazione buonissimo. I massaggi di Jennifer super consigliato. Complimenti a tutto lo staff

Très bon séjour à l'hôtel tamassa du 18 au 22 octobre 2023. En grande partie grâce à Kévin Colette du département restauration Show. Au petit soin et à l'écoute de nos attentes ???? Merci d'avoir rendu notre séjour agréable !

I had a wonderful stay at the Tamassa Bel Ombre Hotel with my family. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by lush greenery and turquoise water. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Standard rooms do need a bit of renovation in terms of the doors and equipments. We asked for a twin bed and staff made sure we had those.
The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive keep checking on whether everything is going well and if we need something (Leena and team).
There are lots of options and great food at the buffet (for vegetarians as well), and the burger truck is definitely to be tried.

What really made our stay memorable was the food, especially the desserts and the seafood. The pastry Chef Jean Edinho and Chef Karan Chummun of La Playa Restaurant went above and beyond to cater to our tastes and preferences (especially for the vegetarians in the family). They prepared delicious and creative dishes that delighted our palates and made us feel special. They were also very kind and courteous, taking the time to chat with us and share their passion for their craft.
We are very grateful to them and to the whole team of the Tamassa Bel Ombre Hotel for making our vacation a memorable one. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Mauritius.

Au Tamassa, on vit en vrai dans un décor de cartes postales. Le personnel est d'une bienveillance et d'une gentillesse incroyable ! La cuisine est parfaite. On y a passé 10 jours fin septembre. Le climat est idéal. Il est situé dans le plus bel endroit de l'île Maurice. C'est parfait

Prices on the website are around Rs22,000 for bed and breakfast, and Rs42,000 for all inclusive. All inclusive is the only available rate for Mauritians. Who will pay Rs20,000 extra lunch, dinner and drinks for one day? Ridiculous prices!!

PROS: The hotel is well-kept and its very beautiful. There's a good coral-reef right at the beach, so you can easily snorkle and see exotic fish, but dont send your kids out alone since the current is strong. The hotels offers a good variety of activities. You can go sailing, kayaking, snorkling from boat, go to the gym and play volleyball all free of charge.
Note: bring neoprene shoes as there are a few sea urchins and corals ????
Unlike most people here, I dont find the food to be as uniform as people say. They do however need to up their game on the cakes.
Staff is very nice and while im not German, I was very impressed seeing some of the staff speaking German.
CONS: A lot of unexpected costs. At times the hotel seems a bit stingy. You have to pay for water at dinner - that's weird. You get 2 bottles of water in your room each day, but if you already have water, they wont give you any unless you explicitly ask.
They are placed pretty far from everything and the hotel has made a deal with taxis that they charge 700Mur/h. So if you are going to the supermarket, shop big. If you can find a non-hotel-related taxi driver, you can go for 1/2 price.
Sometimes its moving a biiiit slow. We arrived at 11.00 and asked to check in. But couldnt do it until 12.00 which was the agreed check-in, so fair enough. But we waited until 12.30 before we got our room. Nothing terrible, but I would like flexibility to go both ways as we will 100% be told to check out on time or be charged extra.
