We had a wonderful stay here. The view is lovely, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very responsive and professional. When we come back to Lisbon, we will definitely stay here again

Stayed at this hotel in the off-season. Very quiet, with a nice breakfast, and pretty terrace views. There are many restaurants and viewpoints in the vicinity. This street is open only to local traffic, so it is quiet and relaxing. The whole city is easily reached by walking from this location. The only downside was the shower. The temperature fluctuated and would get very hot for a moment, then return to its set temperature. It did not make for a comfortable shower at all. Despite the shower, I still highly recommend this hotel.

Morgenmaden OK, men heller ikke mere. Irriterende larmende og langsom kaffemaskine.

Wir hatten, auch wegen des hohen Preises von fast 200 Euro die Nacht, hohe Erwartungen. Diese wurden leider zum großen Teil enttäuscht. Was war gut? Die Lage hoch oben über der Alfama nahe dem Castelo und die Aussicht von den Zimmern war wirklich toll. Das gebuchte Superior- Zimmer hatte auch eine große, möblierte Terasse. Die Heizung funktionierte gut. Der Obstsalat beim Frühstücksbuffet war ebenfalls erfreulich. Was war schlecht? Die Zimmer waren sehr "old- fashioned" und entsprachen keineswegs modernem Standard. Kaum Steckdosen und wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten. Vor allem das Badezimmer wies Abnutzungserscheinungen auf, die man bei diesen Preisen einfach nicht akzeptieren kann. Veraltete undichte Armaturen, und als Höhepunkt ein völlig abgenutzter, mit Abnutzungsflecken übersäter, Spiegel. Es entstand der Eindruck, dass hier seit langem nichts mehr renoviert/modernisiert wurde. Die Zimmer sind auch, um es vorsichtig auszudrücken, sehr hellhörig. Das Frühstücksbuffet wurde im Rezeptionsbereich eingenommen und bot einfachen Standard, mit Ausnahme des zu lobenden Obstsalats. Personal suchte man tageweise vergebens. Es wurde dann nichts aufgefüllt, Tische wurden nicht abgeräumt, die Kafeemaschine funktionierte nicht und die Gäste mussten sich ihr Besteck selber zusammensuchen. Es schien niemanden zu kümmern. Unmöglich für ein Hotel, dass sich mit 4 Sternen schmückt. Über das Personal können wir ansonsten nicht viel sagen, da dieses für uns wahrnehmbar lediglich aus der wechselnden, höflich zurückhaltenden, Rezeptionskraft bestand. Diese "Anonymität", das Fehlen einer gastfreundlichen Atmosphäre, führte dazu, dass wir uns nicht wirklich willkommen fühlten. Fazit: Das für uns wichtigste Kriterium bei der Beurteilung einer Unterkunft, das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis, stimmt für uns leider im Olissippo Castelo überhaupt nicht!

The service from the staff at Olissippo Castelo was excellent. The hotel deserves every one of its four stars. Whenever I had a question, the concierge happily answered. The kitchen staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. The location was perfect for us, a short walk to the metro and train station. The area is quiet and the rooms were clean. I’d easily recommend staying here to anyone.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay here. The room was quite large and had a beautiful view overlooking Lisbon. It was very quiet as well. There is certainly room to update the rooms, but everything was perfectly nice and clean. There are not great room service options for food. The breakfast was fine for our needs - not fancy but served the purpose of starting our day off well fed! Plenty of little restaurants all around if you’re willing to walk just a bit. It is on a big hill, so you will be walking on cobblestone up and down hills so it could be challenging for people with mobility issues.

The staff was fantastic about sending anything up that we needed, calling cabs for us, helping with laundry service, and making sure we had a great stay. We would definitely stay again!

We wished we could have stayed here longer! Highly recommend this hotel. Convenient to everything. So peaceful on the balcony.

La ubicación no es buena dado que está en lo alto de la ciudad es una locura subir y bajar. En Lisboa además de los taxis tienen uber y Bolt pero estos dos últimos no pueden subir hasta el hotel porque el acceso restringido con lo cual lo tienes aún más difícil para llegar.
El desayuno es muy limitado, ni siquiera tiene tostador de pan, poca variedad y ya si eres intolerante directamente no reserves el desayuno. Además, este se sirve en el saloncito que está justo en el pasillo de entrada y salida del hotel sin ningún tipo de separación física.
Por lo demás el hotel estaba muy limpio como a las habitaciones muy bien y el servicio de la recepción y el personal en general ha sido muy bueno. Por nuestra experiencia las noches muy silenciosas.

Comfortable hotel with a shared terrace area available to non-standard rooms, good air-conditioning, decent WiFi coverage and a good breakfast selection. Good customer service, particularly from the outstanding Sophia and Ruiz. The airport transfer service is timely and good value, as is room service. Hotel is located in the cobbled streets of Alfama, 10 minutes walk from Elevador Castelo and 20 minutes walk from Castelo de São Jorge.
