El majestuoso hotel Polana, de la cadena de hoteles de lujo Serena, es uno de los más bellos de Maputo. Tiene bar, restaurante, cafetería, piscina Hollywood, gimnasio, spa, pistas de tenis... Es un auténtico centro de vacaciones. Todas las habitaciones son diferentes, bastante iconoclastas para un hotel de lujo, con cabeceros coloniales portugueses de madera tallada en su mayoría. La terraza del bar, con vistas al océano y a la sublime piscina decorada con una columnata blanca, es deslumbrante.
