I can not say anything about the rooms. There aren't many places to eat well in Kasane. When eating there, a Shirloin Steak which should be lean, but its mostly fat meat, a Salad with already prepared Knorr Sauce, waiting time 20 minutes to get served, than Sorry Managment, obviously no need to make any efforts. Tourist come anyhow.

Thank you Doris for your review. We appreciate good fat steak to ensure good quality beef, the fat can always be trimmed. Im surprised about the salad dressing as its always served separately. We will do our best to improve where we can.

Wir nutzten es als Ausgangspunkt zum Ausflug in den Chobe Nationalpark und zum Victoriafall.

the rooms are very spacious and clean, the reception staff was also very friendly. The food was okay, the meat was rather chewy and the mushrooms in the mushroom soup were cold/partly frozen. The restaurant staff could have been a little friendlier but all in all it was okay. It’s a good place to spend a night before going further. The regulation of the water pressure and temperature of the shower was great!

Apartheid-like service! If you want to go back to the old SA inhospitable days, visit the place!
The owner apparently believes he can look down at his clientele because prices are affordable here. We showed up at 13:30 and we were just turned down by this guy in his fifties saying it’s full and he can’t accept us waiting here! All this without a single word of apologies! We came back 20mn later on purpose and sneaked in as he was not there: all tables were available! Then we sat and ordered while the same guy showed up and instead of welcoming/thanking us to be back, he just said: « ah! you’re back » and laughed. To him, we’re just « poor whites »since we want to eat in his place.
On top of that, a burning smell came out of the kitchen and we waited for our meals more than 40mn. When I asked the waitress why, she said the chef burned the meals! ???? Still without excuse.
Honestly, if you stay in Kasane, better avoid this place although recommended by Lonely Planet. They need learn about hospitality. We’ll try other places this week: keep posted!

One can only presume that excuses and disappointment mentioned above can only relate to your lack of understanding and false accusation of mentioned racism, strange that we both have European bloodlines? something to fall back on without a valid reason, just an excuse and being in the wrong country? This is Botswana.
And honestly to be cheerful is not an offense when welcoming you back, and truly feel sorry for future places you visit and review as noticed.
To be one of the best and recommended places to stay and have a meal took years of dedicated and committed service so find your review very disappointing and very false.
To ensure that we provided great service and turning down customers is not a fist time due to popular demand, your timing was very much out as to return 2 hours later tells you that you were asked politely to try a bit later after the rush hour over lunch.

I cannot think of a better place I would want to stay in Kasane. A bliss of a hotel, so very cozy and nice, with a pool and a good restaurant, right at the banks of the beautiful river.

Clean, cool, comfortable rooms.
Service is good but the food is slow to come out and we were underwhelmed by the flavor (we got pizzas).
There was a ton to see on the river cruise but our pace was quite slow because there was one (very hardworking, informative) person driving, looking for wildlife, and providing information for the whole boat. Suggest 2 people go out.

We Loved the old house. Beautiful surrounds, jetty to the river, small but beautifully presented and clean room for us and 2 kids. Although the menu was small, the food at the Restaurant was excellent, fresh and the best we had at any of our southern African accommodation. The staff were lovely, very helpful and efficient. I left 2 mobile phones there and before I could contact them they had contacted me to let me know. They then posted them back to me.

We had dinner, which was a STD steak house menu , wraps, burgers, pizza, ribs and steak.
Waitress very efficient and steak cooked well .
Owner very rude and un- welcoming even though we had booked a table.

Traumhaft gelegen, direkt am Choberiver. Die Cruise mit den kleinen Booten ist schöner, weil die bis ans Ufer können. Wir hatten unglaublich schöne Tierbeobachtungen

Es gibt außer Pizza überhaupt keine Angebote für Vegetarier. Als Vegetarier würde ich unbedingt eine andere Unterkunft empfehlen.
Leider sehr enttäuschend zu den tollen Lodges mit hochwertigen Gerichten die wir auf unserer restlichen Reise hatten.
