I recently stayed at the Intercontinental and had a disappointing experience. The check-in receptionist was unwelcoming, and the initial room’s location posed challenges for my sister’s mobility. Although the hotel changed our room, the replacement had a persistent smell, causing health concerns. Despite our requests, the odor persisted, and we discovered a mold issue on the last day, posing a serious health hazard. Throughout our stay, it had been reported to reception and the housekeeping team attempted to address the problem, but their efforts fell short. I, being asthmatic, found the situation distressing and unhealthy. Unfortunately, the hotel’s response to our complaints made us feel dismissed and labeled as bothersome guests. Moreover, I had arranged for a birthday cake for my sister, A PAID SERVICE confirmed via email. However, the reception team questioned the legitimacy of the celebration, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. While Tatiana was accommodating, the overall customer service was below par for a purported 5-star hotel. Having stayed in various 5-star establishments globally, this experience was subpar, and I won’t consider returning. It is unacceptable to accommodate guests in rooms with mold issues, and the lack of genuine concern from the staff is disheartening. The Intercontinental fell short of its reputation, leaving me extremely unhappy and disappointed.

Clean rooms, quiet, great service, nice breakfast selection. Staff are helpful. You can't go wrong!

I agree with the other reviewers that the building needs renovating, but the hotel staff is AMAZING! My husband and I have stayed in many Intercontinental hotels, but the attentiveness of the staff here out-shines them all. Smiling, intuitive and glad to assist - for us, that's the icing on the cake which completes a memorable vacation.

My family and I want to thank IHG, Intercontinental, the GM and the staff at this hotel. They made my family vacation truly memorable.

We came to celebrate my children birthdays and get some R&R time in Malta.

The check-in process was seamless and we were escorted to our room by a Supervisor. They told us about the hotel and all of the amenities as she took us to our room.

Prior to arrival, we requested just some balloons be place the in room for my daughter birthday. We were totally surprised when we opened the room , it was totally decorated with balloons, cake, champagne, tower towel cake and a hand written note.

The room were well layout and stocked with the best hotel amenities on the market.

We really enjoyed meeting all the staff and learning about their stories of their countries of origin. Every staff was courteous,knowledgeable but more importantly CARING. They were pleasant and greeted us with a genuine smile everyday during our vacation.

My kids really had fun at the pool everyday during our trip and always went and spent an hour in the spacious kids game room. The game room even had some of my childhood games that I was able to play with my daughter, which warmed my heart.

At the pool bar, the staff and chefs were always smiling and accommodating. The food was always tasty and the pool was always refreshing on the warm Malta days. The kids always wanted to watch tv after the pool before dinner and the room services team always brought up their pre-dinner meal up quickly.

Overall my experience at Intercontinental Malta was truly memorable and all members of my family were happy.

Intercontinental Malta gets it!!!!

방넓고 화장실도 넓다.
하지만 화장실 물이 깨끗하지 않았다.
경치는 아무것도 없었다.
이불이 습한 기분이 들었다.
조식은 아주 만족스러웠다.
다양한 종류의 식사가 있었고
7층 직원들이 아주 친절했다.
10층 수영장 좋았다.
무료수영장이다. 7층에서 파는 음식들도 좋았고
직원들도 친절했다.
로비에 도어맨중 흑인. 인도인? 이디안? 노란색사람들이 인종차별을 했다.

우린 아시아 사람이였는데
백인 직원들은 문을 항상 열어주었는데
흑인, 노란색사람들은 우리 문을 열어주지 않았다
바로 뒤로 따라오는 백인의 문은 열어주었다
정말 기분이 나빴다
도어맨을 안했으면 좋겠다.

비치는 호텔전용이 있어서
타올, 썬배드도 무료로 사용가능하고
해변 직원들도 모두 친절했다

도어맨들만 교육을 잘해준다면
몰타에 오면 꼭 다시 방문하고싶다

Very big hotel at St. Julian’s with a nice beach and 2 outdoor pools and one indoor. Indoor was unfortunately closed when we were there. Rooms are nice, inside terrace looks beautiful. When constractions around the hotel will finish it will be a nice place. Unfortunately during the day you can hear the construction noise. Breakfast is reach and good. Only one suggestion would be great to have a tap and shower with running water at beach to clean your feet, body after leaving the beach.

The staff are out of this world. Polite, friendly helpful above and beyond. Unfortunately the location of the hotel was not for us. Rooms are immaculate. The lounge was the best we have been in.

I read so many bed reviews about InterContinental Malta and had some doubts staying there, but let me tell you we had a fantastic stay!
Yes the location and the area is not the best but we went to Sliema and we found that much worse so we were happy to get back to St. Julians.
Upon arrival we were invited to the Club Lounge for check-in where we had a very warm welcome.
We booked a Club King Room but were upgraded to a Junior Suite on the 13th floor. (IHG Platinum Ambassador)
We had issues with the balcony door in the Junior Suite, there was a significant gap between the doors where dust and noise coming in. We reported the issue and they sent someone from maintenance. When we came back to the room, the gap was smaller but still the door was not able to close properly, called the Club Front Desk again and they offered us a a new room, a King City Suite on the 15th floor. The suite was amazing and the whole experience of the stay completely changed staying on the 15th floor.????????
We didn’t have any issues with noise, we didn’t hear anything from the street or the constructions in the area.
The Club Lounge was first class, sevice and the whole Club Team was phenomenal, very kind and friendly.
We very much enjoyed the breakfasts and the evening drinks! The team pleases you with all your requests????????
Pools: our main interest was the Skybeach but we didn’t like that much, either it was invaded with rowdy groups or families with many sreaming kids with inflatables. Also, the staff was not wery welcoming.
I had not high hopes with the Narcis pool on the 10th floor but honestly I liked it much better, somehow the vibe was quite nice. Yes, there were many kids enjoying the ice cold water???????? but at least this pool is dedicated as a family pool.
The beach is a nice add-on to the amenities. IC is the only hotel in the area who owns a beach so this is a big plus!
The gym was a letdown: huge but not very clean and unfriendly staff. We didn’t have time to check the Spa and indoor pool.
Small tip: there is a back entrance on the 8th floor which leads you to a quiet street.
I honestly recommend this hotel if you
are staying at Club Level???? and we would definetely will be back!

I had a great time with my family in this hotel. Great service, from reception to cleaning service. Special thanks to Sanja from the breakfast restorant for being so helpfull, kind and professional.
I highly recommend this hotel and hopefully will come back.

Der Preis und Service haben perfekt mit der Qualität gepasst, das Personal von aller Abteilungen waren sehr freundlich und professionell, ich möchte mich besonders bedanken dass mir der IHG Team beim Führen einer kleinen Überraschung zum Geburtstag von meinem Kumpel geholfen hat.

Excellent service, staff polite & helpful.
The indoor pool was cold, with showers, etc, out of service, very poor for IHG.
It is a pity that too many Hotels have been squeezed into the area, which is seriously affected Transport in & out of the area....Benidorm springs to mind.
The rooms are due for an upgrade

Μέσα στην καρδιά της διασκέδασης το ξενοδοχείο. Η εξυπηρέτηση άψογη, το φαγητό νόστιμο, το δωμάτιο πολύ ωραίο. Είχαμε βέβαια έναν μικρό επισκέπτη, αλλά λύθηκε άμεσα το θέμα. Θα πήγαινα ξανά και ξανά!!

Fantastisk hotell med luxus følelse og herlig betjening. Flott pool område samt takterrasse med infinitypol og bar. Flotte og romslige rom. Egen strand med bar og mat og solsenger med håndklær. Sjekk hjemmeside for alle detaljer.????????

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt! Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Auch die Einrichtungen (Pools, Gym...) Haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen in den Restaurants war ebenfalls sehr lecker, besonders hat uns ein Dinner auf der Dachterrasse in tollem Ambiente gefallen. Billig war es nicht, aber die Preise fanden wir angemessen.
Das Hotel ist mittlerweile umringt von anderen hohen Gebäuden. Zu Fuß benötigt man etwa 30 Minuten und eine kurze Fahrt mit der Fähre nach Valetta. Ganz in der Nähe ist eine Busstation von der aus man nach Rabat/Mdina und Hagar Qim

Siamo stati presso il beach club di questo albergo, non abbiamo alloggiato nella struttura. Posso affermare che ci siamo trovati molto bene; il cibo è eccellente, sia i burger che gli altri piatti.
